Unsourced material
[edit]The following is unsourced information:
- Caldwell was a rough and very wild cattle town during the late 1870s and early 1880s, comparable to Dodge City and Abilene. During that period, there were numerous killings resulting from shootouts between cowboys and lawmen. On December 17th, 1881, Town Marshal Mike Meager was killed during a shootout with five cowboys. On June 22nd, 1882, newly appointed Town Marshal George Brown was killed during a shootout with four men he was attempting to disarm. That same day, around 1am, his assistant Marshal George Flapp had been killed in an ambush on Main Street.
- The 1925 William S. Hart silent Western Tumbleweeds is set in the town of Caldwell, Kansas
While this is interesting, we can't use it unless you provide a source. Also, none of this is really trivia, as trivia by its definition is "unimportant information" - it therefore shouldn't be in a trivia section but instead the information should be incorporated into the main article. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 11:56, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
